The SGJ-I soft capsule double-layer rotary cage dryer is dedicated supporting equipment for soft capsule production lines. It is developed by combining the drying characteristics of soft capsules in production and years of practical experience in soft capsule drying processes. This equipment is designed as an alternative to the traditional tray drying method for soft capsules, and it fits into continuous soft capsule manufacturing procedures. It is suitable for commercial procurement from pharmaceutical, dietary supplement and health product manufacturing enterprises.
Compared with traditional tray drying solutions, this equipment optimizes spatial layout and drying logic, addressing common pain points in conventional drying processes such as large floor occupation, high labor demand, slow drying speed and unstable product quality. This equipment completely changes the traditional tray drying mode for soft capsules. The traditional tray drying method usually requires large floor space, involves extensive manual operation, delivers slow drying speed, and leads to unstable final product quality. The double-layer rotary cage structure of this equipment improves space utilization, and supports continuous automatic material conveying, which reduces manual dependence during the drying process.
The two support wheels at the front of the rotary cage are equipped with manually removable support wheel shafts. Operators can remove the support wheel shafts by hand without additional specialized tools, and then roll out the rotary cage directly. This design reduces the labor intensity of workers during rotary cage assembly and disassembly, and shortens the time required for equipment cleaning and routine maintenance.
The equipment achieves uniform and fast drying of soft capsules, and avoids adhesion between capsules during the drying process. Each section of the upper and lower rotary cages is equipped with a high-flow centrifugal fan, which delivers stable air flow to take away moisture from the soft capsule gelatin shell. The continuous rotation of the rotary cage keeps capsules turning during drying, so that all surfaces of the capsules contact the air flow evenly.
All parts that come into direct contact with soft capsules are made of stainless steel that meets GMP requirements. This material configuration conforms to the hygiene standards of pharmaceutical production, and reduces the risk of material contamination during the drying process. The smooth surface of stainless steel also supports convenient daily cleaning and disinfection operations.
The closed conveying and drying structure of the equipment maintains a clean working environment without extra pollution during operation. It adapts to the environmental requirements of clean production workshops, and avoids secondary pollution to soft capsules caused by external environmental factors during the drying process.
Soft capsules produced by the main encapsulation machine are delivered to the first section at the lower part of the dryer through a three-way valve, via a high-pressure air supply system. After running for the preset duration, the three-way valve cylinder switches the air path to deliver new soft capsules to the upper first section of the rotary cage, while capsules in the lower first section are automatically transferred to the lower second section of the rotary cage. This switching and conveying cycle repeats in sequence, until all upper and lower sections of the rotary cage are filled with capsules.
Each section of the upper and lower rotary cages is fitted with a high-flow centrifugal fan, which continuously extracts moisture from the soft capsule gelatin shells. After the preset drying time, when the moisture content of the soft capsule gelatin shells meets production requirements, the dried soft capsules are discharged from the upper and lower sections of the rotary cage, and enter the next procedure of the soft capsule production process.
This rotary cage dryer is designed for industrial soft capsule production lines, and it can be matched with corresponding automatic soft capsule encapsulators to form a complete production unit. It is applicable to the drying process of various conventional soft capsule products, including oil-based and suspension-based soft capsules. The fluidized bed capsule rotary cage dryer is used for shaping and secondary drying of soft capsules. It is composed of eight rotary cages, 24 fans and electronic control system. Each section can be positive and reverse separately. When used as a molding, the water content of the rubber skin of the soft capsule can be reduced from about 45% to about 35%, and the water content of the rubber skin of the soft capsule can be reduced to about 25% when it is run alone before drying. Drying method: boiling drying, can be blown into a fluidized state, reduce the shot body and shot body, shot body and the inner wall of the rotating cage friction, so that the drying speed is greatly improved.
